Featured Track: Leaping Loopholes

Acoustic guitar instrumental

A couple of days ago I posted about a new book about Robert Johnson and how I was introduced to Robert Johnson by Juno award winning country-blues player Ken Hamm (www.kenhamm.com/). I used to work for Ken & Lynn Wallace – tenting on Lynn’s goat farm outside of Nanaimo – BC, while doing Silviculture (tree planting, spacing, falling, etc.). Ken is one of the few people around who can play Robert Johnson, as RJ’s skill and finger-picking style are really difficult to master.

Ken and I used to jam and he sold me my first multitrack recorder, a Fostex X-26 (which I now occasionally use as a distortion pedal). I was learning to fingerpick and this well may be my very first multitrack recording, with Ken lending some tasty licks.

Apologies for the monstrous tape hiss!
